I know we all have certain things we are looking for when we shop for clothes, whether it’s online or in store-whether the clothes fit right, how current the style is and if it reflects our own desires, a reasonable price point and often ignored but very important: how and where it’s made.
One of the reasons I love this charming company called Buttercream Clothing is because for me, it truly envelops all of those ideals. Based in Calgary, the clothing is made with ethical local manufacturers with attention and care. The pieces I have bring me joy and fit easily with my wardrobe to make new combinations with old treasures.
The details and quality can be seen in their Chiffon Cake Kimono, worn here in Purple Floral. The colours are vibrant yet muted, for a delicate touch to feminine an outfit. I love the minimal effort needed here to layer, it fits seamlessly with almost any outfit. Wear it with a dress or over a tank and denim shorts.
I just love the flow. I’m leaving for a road trip vacation at the end of July down to LA and I just know this is going to be an essential. Too hot for sweaters but this is easy to pack along if I encounter an evening breeze. Will also be great for the beach and the pool as a swimsuit coverup!
