An idea that was born recently in my previous house, has now been carried into the new. Frustrated with a cupboard of pulling out boxes and knocking down towers of tea in the process, I decided a drawer would be a much more practical storage solution.
If, like me, you are blessed with an abundance of drawers in your kitchen, why not give this a try? I admit that in our old home, the drawer did not have space for the cups but I love that this one does. Although it’s not necessary, because cups either can be displayed beautifully, if that’s your thing, or can go into the cupboard as usual. But this is so good for boxes of tea, tea accessories, coffee pods and the other little details.
Now, the tea packets are placed into long Rubbermaid organizers I got from Walmart. I used an old Tupperware container for the Nescafé coffee packets.
Anyways, just a quick post for today. Hope someone can find some use in this idea. I have loved making the change and smile every time I open this drawer.

PS: Did I mention that I have given up coffee in an attempt to better my health? See that jar in the middle? That’s my personal homemade blend of herbal coffee. One day I’ll have to post the recipe for it.
