I’ve seen a ton of wooden watches this second half of 2016 on social media but not so much in real life. I love a new take on something, changing it up and rebirthing the concept of what something should be so I love the idea of a wooden watch. I brought up this trend to a friend recently and her curiosity was about as expected, she was dying to see what exactly a wooden watch would look like.
When Jord messaged me to ask if I would like to try out their unique watches, I was thrilled because they are one of the wooden watch trailblazers and I’ve seen a lot of their images. The watch arrived in the most beautiful packaging a wooden box with slider lid. The watch was wrapped around a tweed pillow with an embroidered Jord logo and came complete with a polishing cloth.
This is the Fieldcrest watch in Dark Sandalwood. I chose it because I love the dark wood with the black face and silver accents. Some of their styles have larger faces but I prefer the mid-sized face on this one. This watch is great as a women’s watch but is masculine enough to be worn as a men’s watch as well.
