I think we all are in the same boat here where Spring is feeling just over the horizon and we’re all super anxious to get preparations started, right? I know here I’m planning out a deep clean in my house (probably one I’m going to pay for ha!) and what types of veggies I’m going to plant in my garden this year (all of my carrots get eaten by the neighborhood rabbits so I might pass on those this year) and of course I’m pulling together my spring wardrobe.

I think it’s a good idea to always keep pieces from previous seasons in storage rather than donating everything because you can always find a way to update a piece by mixing and matching. I have a hard time letting anything go. The odd time I do donate something, I always find myself regretting it in the future. I will put together a perfect outfit and think this would have looked so much better with that other shirt but then I realize I don’t have it anymore. So unless something is grossly shrunken or misshapen, I find a space to store it for the future. Under bed storage containers or a bin in a spare closet are ideal.

So onto my look from last weekend! I wore this top from Amthropologie last spring and am still loving it. Instead of a skirt, I am now pairing it with ultra trendy ripped jeans for a super chic look. The assymmetrical ruffle is such a stunning feature and always gets a lot of attention.

The jeans are an Aeropostale pair I snagged on clearance for…$5! I added the rips and distressing myself. It’s super easy and fun to do. I have done a few pairs and the artist in me loves to play around and see what different looks I can create.

And to keep the feminine factor high, I added these super high stiletto pumps, my favorite pair with the cutout sides.

It was super nice at +5 this weekend but I still added a little overcoat because, well I’m not crazy. This button up is from Zara.

Where are you with your Spring planning? Tank tops season is just around the corner!

With style,

Lindsey xoxo
